August 18, 2014

The Summer is coming to an end here in the UK and while that means misery in some aspects; heading back to university to study, not seeing my family and boyfriend every day and having to actually cook for myself, it has its positives; jumpers, boots, fluffy pyjamas and dressing gowns are coming BACK! For those who know me it will come as no surprise that my excitement mainly bases itself around A/W fashion. But before we get too excited about all that, I wanted to see Summer off by showing you just a few of the outfits that have seen me through the warmer months and clothes that I'll be sad to be pushing to the back of my drawers as we say hello to the colder months.
At the beginning of July I was luck enough to have a shoot with an old school friend named Phillipa. Based in North Lincolnshire, Phillipa is making quite the name for herself in the photography department and I feel very lucky to have had the chance to collaborate with her! You can check out for more of her fabulous work.

This outfit was an all time favourite for me this season. Summer 2014 has been all about bold, tropical prints and bright colours and I really felt that this outfit ticked all the boxes in meeting the trend. This Neon Orange Burnout Racer Vest was bought as part of New Look's 2 for £10 bargain and it's been a Summer staple. I was also lucky enough to find a neon lace racer back bra in the Victoria's Secret sale for only £12.50 and it goes perfectly with this vest.
My shorts are also from New Look and at only £12.99 I couldn't resist. I have been so into the tropical print this year and the details of these shorts sold them to me. With a hint of neon orange in the flowers they are an almost perfect match to the top. So comfy too. New Look has been on form this year.
As for shoes, I teamed them with a pair of gladiator sandals from Topshop (not pictured but similar here). At £24 they were my style steal of the Summer. My watch is from the D&G Hoop-La range (now only £50!) and bracelet from Pandora. These sunglasses, as well as my white Wayfarers, have been as loyal to me as any puppy-dog and I'm going to miss them as the Sun hides away. They're the Ray-Ban Cats 1000 set and they retail at around £100. Quite the spend but worth the investment.
I hope that you've enjoyed the first instalment of my What I Wore In Summer 2014 series! What do you think to the outfit? Did you shop at New Look a lot this Summer?

Love, Steph xxxx
