BarryM Cosmetics - Silk Collection

You don't have to look far to see what a huge fan on pastels I am. When my mum called me upstairs a couple of weeks ago to show me her recent purchases I did not expect to find what is now possibly my favourite BarryM range...the Silk Collection

I was very intrigued by the BarryM Silk Collection, as I couldn't quite fathom how a nail polish could have a silky effect, surely it was just glossy or matte? After applying, I can see that the silk collection is a sheer matte collectionof polishes. I love matte polishes and top coats, so they're is right up my street. The shade range of the collection is very pastel (therefore very Spring, if you ask me). Colours include, Meadow (mint green, pictured), Blossom (baby pink, pictured), Mist (baby blue, pictured), Truffle (nude), Pearl (white) and Heather (lilac). As is to be expected with the wonder that is BarryM Cosmetics, they apply beautifully, with little drag and an even covering. I found that I needed three coats to reach an opacity I was happy with but the vast majority of people could get away with two! Something I love about matte polishes is that you can see when they're dry too as they pick up their matte finish when dry.

BarryM have done really well with the silk collection. The shade range is so on trend and faultlessly pretty. I think that these have just been overshadowed by the Spring collection of Gelly Hi Shines, which is sad because they really do deserve the credit! Especially at only £3.99 a piece.

I decided to add a glitter accent to Blossom for my Silk Collection mani, what do you think to it?!

Love, Steph xxxx

    1. They really are! Although I often can't justify the spend of an Essie polish. You should try Sinful Colours! xx
