OOTD - Stepping Into Spring Round 2

Leeds is honestly the place to be right now. The sun has got his hat on and although I doubt he's here to stay, I'm loving this glorious weather and especially the fact it's allowing me to dress a little bit brighter.

In this outfit I teamed my statement, peter pan collared dress from Missguided with my boyfriend jacket/blazer from New Look. I've wanted a jacket like this for a while and when I saw this one I knew I had to have it. It's quite loosely fitted but the sleeves are reasonably snug. The very subtle marl to this jacket makes it super versatile and its clean colour makes it brilliant for easing yourself into the warmer weather, without losing your coat entirely. On me, it comes to my thighs and I think that it's going to add so much to my simpler outfits.
I got this dress for my birthday from my parents. I found it when browsing the Missguided website for SS14 inspiration back at the beginning of February and immediately wanted it. The print is a mixture of floral and leopard and surprisingly, I think the colour scheme ties it all in really well. I have to point out how well made dresses from Missguided are. At only £19.99, this dress is lined and no element of it is that 'jersey' material dresses are often made from these days - no chance of shrinking this. I would also like to say that if you haven't ordered form Missguided before, do be careful with your choice of size. I initially went for an 8 in this dress and although I'm in no way busty, it was really tight in that region and ended up exchanging it for a 10.
My bag is my "uni bag" and I bought it from Topshop at the Trinity Leeds Student Lock-In last September. I've used it almost every day (in term time) since then and it's still going strong. It fits so much in it and I often use it as an overnight bag too. My sunnies are brand spanking new from Dorothy Perkins and they were only £6. They're way sturdier than any other high-street sunglasses I've ever bought and inside they're leopard print. I love leopard print, can you tell? On my feet are the basic flats from New Look. Literally the comfiest shoes I've ever owned.

What do you think to this outfit? Are you loving this style of jacket?

Love, Steph xxxx

    1. Thank you Harriet! I tend to just use Tresemme Keratin Smooth shampoo and conditioner but the last couple weeks I have been using Elvive Thickening Shampoo, although naturally I have very thick hair xxxx
