GUEST POST: Palmers Cocoa Butter Eventone Dark Spot Corrector

Hi Guys,

I was sooooo happy when the lovely Steph asked me to do a guest blog post for her while she's away (stops for a moment to day dream about walking on the beach, AND back to reality...) and I bet she is having the best time, 3 weeks away she is one lucky girl! I think the idea of guest posts are so lovely and I was especially happy when Steph asked me, because I have been reading her blog since I first started blogging (not so long ago), and I really do love all her posts. She is doing so well for herself and its so nice to see someone you enjoy reading, succeeding. So first of all I would like to say a BIG thank you to Steph.

Next, lets introduce myself. I'm Hannah, Im 24, I'm from Sheffield and I, most likely like everyone reading this right now, am completely and utterly obsessed with all things beauty and fashion! I have a little blog called A Day In The Life of A Norther Girl (http://adayinthelifeofanortherngirl.blogspot.com) where I mostly do reviews of products I love, but hope to do more fashion and adventure based posts soon. I have only been blogging for a few months now but I am loving every moment, especially interacting with new lovely people, like Steph.

Today I thought I would do a little review about a product that I not only think is amazing, but has actually turned out to be a money saver....well that might be stretching it a little, but I will argue my point later. I am talking about the Palmers Cocoa Butter Eventone Dark Spot Corrector.

Before I started my obsession with the beauty blogging world, I though I was rare in having that annoying skin type which leaves dark patches wherever there has been the slightest blemish on my face. You know, those patches that take months to fade, even when you left the blemish well alone when it reared its ugly head. Turns out I'm not alone, and I've heard many a beauty blogger mention the same problem. Sadly all recommendations so far seem to have come with a very hefty price tag. This is where Palmers save the day.

The price seems to vary wherever you get it from but you defiantly should not be spending over £10 on it. There is currently an offer on at Superdrug for a lovely £6.66, and that devilish number defiantly gives some indication of how it works so well, I swear the devil has to be involved, the outcome is so good!!! You get 30mls for your buck and a small pump gets you a long way. So lets get on to describing the product.

It comes with a pump applicator which makes it easy to moderate how much you use and not waste any product (the first money saving thing involved with this cream). The smell is lovely, obviously part of the cocoa butter scent family, and really lingers so you can smell it for a good time after you've applied. As I said, a small amount goes a long way and I find really taking the time to rub it into my skin has made the effects even better. I do advise maybe applying extra product to those real problem areas though.

However, the best advise I can give is...definitely apply this at night as the product does have a large amount of shimmer and, unless you wish to look like Edward Cullen in the sunlight when you leave the house, avoid at all costs in the daytime.

  2. Haha well I very much like the look of Edward Cullen!!! I like it/him a lot actually :D.

It's definitely worth a try if you don't want to spend a fortune. It does sting a fair amount if you get it near your eyes though so watch out for that.

  5. Great review! I bought this today, on a whim, then came home and googled reviews! My only question is, how long does it take to start to see results? I'm not in a big hurry if the stuff works, just wondering what you found?
