MUA Mosaic Blush in English Rose

MUA are very well known for their affordable products and I've never been dramatically let down by any of their products before, I'm usually quite impressed.

I was on a bit of a haul mission the other day and as I have been using the same powder brush for nearly 3 years now, I thought that I'd try a new one and to save splashing out on something that probably wouldn't beat my Baked-To-Last blush, I went with MUA Mosaic Blush.

The packaging is very standard - what I call "scratchy plastic" i.e. plastic that scratches after being in your make up bag a week - but it's sturdy and does its job. The product itself looks really impressive, a mosaic of fuchsia, lilac, peach, baby pink and a bronzed colour. It has a really distinct powdered-make up scent, like the things my Mum used to put on my face when I used to dance at competitions! But luckily I don't mind that!

I was gutted when I realised that this blush has barely any pigmentation, not enough to blush my cheeks anyway! I had to, as you can see, scratch at the surface of the powder to get any real colour out and even then it isn't that impressive. I think I just expected a little too much after my amazement with some of their other products!

I've tried to take advantage of the qualities this product does have though. It acts as a really good highlighter! I used a small concealer brush or my finger and put it on the arches of my brows, cheek and jaw bones and it gives a really nice glowing look.

If you're looking for a new, cheap blush, then I wouldn't recommend this, but if you're looking for a highlighter then I would!

Let me know if you've ever tried this @stephsvoice x

I've seen this at my local superdrug loads and it looks so pretty, but i havent found many reviews on it. I really wanted to use it as a blush, but it doesn't seem to be that great, what a shame eh!
