REVIEW: Body Shop Baked-To-Last Blusher

I used to go through blushers like they were going out of fashion. I've used so many different brands you wouldn't believe. However, quite a few years ago I attended a "Body Shop party" which is basically a pamper evening and you can buy the products that you've tried if you like them enough. At 15, I was the youngest there and keen to have a makeover. They used a tonne of products on my face and I begged my Mum to get me loads of the stuff. We eventually settled on the blusher they had used on me and some brushes. I am so glad of it too!

The blusher is part of Body Shop's "Baked-To-Last" range which at the time I first purchased the blusher was brand new. It is baked on a terracotta disc and Body Shop describe it to last up to 8 hours. It comes in two shades, petal and coral. I personally chose coral. They isn't too much of a difference except the coral appears to be a little bit brighter. I have used it with many blusher brushes and each time it has applied the same, which I think says a great deal about the quality of the product. The product combines a blusher and a highlighter in one disc and, although I never do this, they could well be used separately. However, by blending them a glow is added to your cheeks as well as a blush, which I like very much.

With a decent primer underneath it the blusher definitely stays on for 8 hours, as Body Shop promise, and even longer if you ask me. A top up may be needed if you are a big fan of bright cheeks, but if all you're after is a glow to your face then you'l be fine with one application when you initially do your makeup.

The packaging is just a round, clear pot and it is pretty tough! I've dropped it and had it thrown around inside my make up bag so many times and it's still intact. The picture shows my first one, 2 years or so down the line and my second, which I am still using now and there is still plenty left.

It's priced at £12.00 and is definitely worth it. My first one lasted at least 2 years and I didn't even get to the very end before buying a new one. It's a completely natural product too and the fact it's handmade makes it even more of a must-buy. Swear by this blusher. Buy it here.
